BATTERSEA HOUSE 2002-2004

In this reworking of a typical late 19th century terrace house for a photographer and an actress, a new light-filled roof studio is the first phase of a project which will include a part-vaulted garden extension. The new suspended stressed-skin stair refers to our earlier boat-building experience and becomes a structural ‘event’, funneling light down from a skylight.
